Richard Wood
CEO, Safran Software
Richard began his career as an accountant, which provided a strong foundation in financial and general management. He soon progressed to sales and marketing, and has spent nearly 40 years working for companies of all sizes, from SMEs to industry giants like Oracle and Computer Associates.
Throughout his career, Richard has devoted his energies to helping customers increase efficiencies and improve returns using the science and practice of asset management. His expertise lies in helping companies in asset intensive and engineering industries use software tools to drastically improve asset management and project controls.
Richard joined Safran Software in 2014 as VP for International Sales. At the time, Safran had begun to develop a strategy for development outside its domestic market in Northern Europe. Under Richard’s guidance, Safran entered several new industry sectors, diversified its customer base, and grew international revenue to 75% of new software license sales. Richard was appointed CEO of Safran Software in 2021, where he oversees a talented team of accomplished professionals with extensive project management experience.
Outside of work, Richard finds a creative outlet in woodworking. He can often be found in his workshop making furniture.
